This course will begin with PLC history, Logical "Numbering Systems" through Hardware Configuration, communication, interfacing and all discrete type Basic PLC instructions and programming such as Timers, Counters, Relay and Latch instructions with many challenging programming exercises using"real world" I/O , in a system that you will learn to use quickly!

This program teaches the E/I technician to works with electrical and instrumentation equipment  These technicians might work at power generation facilities, oil refineries, manufacturing plants, food processing plants and paper mills. E&I technicians install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment such as plant lighting, thermostats, programmable controllers and transformers. E/I technicians maintain equipment to keep it running smoothly, perform tests and calibrations, repair or replace components and troubleshoot equipment operational problems. An E/I tech can expect to find work with good pay throughout the country.

Planner Training teaches students with 3 or more years in their craft how to prepare job/work packages crews will use to complete assigned jobs in the field. This training is applicable to machinery, electrical, instrumentation and metals/piping/vessel crafts. Individuals who take this training will learn skills needed to scope, task, estimate and streamline all aspects of a job to ensure work is safely and efficiently performed.

This training will cover all equipment classes in addition to scaffolding, insulation, and other work areas.
